Fundraising allows the Squadron Sponsoring Committee (SSC) to assist with cadet activities not covered by the cadet program.

The 197 Typhoon Squadron Air Cadets will have the opportunity to participate in a group presentation by Canadian Astronauts and a day of Aerospace themed activities at Canadian Forces Base Borden on Saturday November 23. This is a Area Directed Activity (ADA) – Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) activity.
Air Cadets will meet at Col JR Barber Armoury at 91 Todd Road, Georgetown at 0645 hours (bus leaves at 0700 sharp).

The 197 Typhoon Squadron Air Cadets will be out in the Acton community for the annual Poppy Drive on Saturday October 26, Sunday October 27 and Saturday November 2.
The Poppy Drive supports the Acton Legion Branch 197 with their annual Poppy campaign. The Poppy is distributed freely to anyone who wish to wear one.

The 197 Royal Canadian Air Cadets in Acton, Ontario along with their families will be holding their Family Christmas Dinner on Tuesday December 17, 2024 at the Acton Legion main hall. This will be a peanut free event.
Food donations will be collected to support the Food Bank.
Ground School for the 197 Royal Canadian Air Cadets in Acton, Ontario begins January 23 through to April 24, 2025 at the Acton Legion board room.
