40th Anniversary

A special invitation to all cadet graduates of 197 Typhoon Squadron and anyone connected to the squadron!

Please join us in celebrating the 40th Anniversary of 197 Typhoon Squadron on Sunday May 26, 2024. The celebration will take place at the Acton Arena located at 415 Queen Street East, Acton, Ontario. Guests are kindly requested to arrive by 1:30pm.

To attend, please RSVP by emailing 197air@cadets.gc.ca before Friday May 17, 2024 indicating your name, contact number and the number of seats to reserve.

We look forward to reuniting with our extended cadet family at the 40th Anniversary.

2024 Drill Team

Location: Royal Canadian Legion Branch 197 15 Wright Ave. Acton, ON L7J 2T7

Date(s): Monday (Recurring, beginning April 8th, 2024)

Time: 18:30 – 21:00

The 197 Typhoon Squadron drill team begins practice on Monday April 8th, 2024, and is eagerly excited to learn and perfect a drill routine which will be performed at the squadron’s 40th annual ceremonial review. The drill team is composed of cadets ranging from levels 1 to 5, and is open to accepting additional 197 cadets who believe they would be interested in being a part of the team. Through these recurring Monday evenings, the members of the drill team will master a drill routine that will include components such as a silent routine portion, and a drill with arms segment.

SSC Bottle Drive

The Squadron Sponsoring Committee (SSC) will be hosting our annual Bottle Drive event on Saturday January 6 at the Acton Scout Hall (across from the library).

SSC members and parent volunteers will be on hand to accept all wine bottles, liquor bottles, beer bottles and beer cases from 10am to 4pm.

Cadet Officers and Cadet Parents, please share our Bottle Drive event with family and friends on social media.
