2024 Air Cadets Family Christmas Dinner

The 197 Royal Canadian Air Cadets in Acton, Ontario along with their families will be holding their Family Christmas Dinner on Tuesday December 17, 2024 at the Acton Legion main hall. This will be a peanut free event.

Food donations will be collected to support the Food Bank.

2024 Santa Claus Parade

197 Typhoon Squadron Air Cadets will be participating in the annual Acton Santa Claus Parade on Saturday November 16.

Air Cadets will meet at Acton Blvd. at the north end of McKenzie-Smith Bennett School at 1215 hours.

40th Anniversary

A special invitation to all cadet graduates of 197 Typhoon Squadron and anyone connected to the squadron!

Please join us in celebrating the 40th Anniversary of 197 Typhoon Squadron on Sunday May 26, 2024. The celebration will take place at the Acton Arena located at 415 Queen Street East, Acton, Ontario. Guests are kindly requested to arrive by 1:30pm.

To attend, please RSVP by emailing 197air@cadets.gc.ca before Friday May 17, 2024 indicating your name, contact number and the number of seats to reserve.

We look forward to reuniting with our extended cadet family at the 40th Anniversary.

2024 Drill Team

Date(s): Monday (Recurring, beginning April 8th, 2024)

Time: 18:30 – 21:00

The 197 Typhoon Squadron drill team begins practice on Monday April 8th, 2024, and is eagerly excited to learn and perfect a drill routine which will be performed at the squadron’s 40th annual ceremonial review. The drill team is composed of cadets ranging from levels 1 to 5, and is open to accepting additional 197 cadets who believe they would be interested in being a part of the team. Through these recurring Monday evenings, the members of the drill team will master a drill routine that will include components such as a silent routine portion, and a drill with arms segment.
